Mission Statement: The mission of Hills Christian School is helping children of believers to love God above all, to learn of God's awesome world in the light of His Word, the Bible, and to live for God by using their knowledge in service to Him.
School Hours: School hours are from 8:10 am to 2:50 pm, Monday through Friday. Kindergarten meets Tuesdays & Thursdays for the first 9 weeks. For the remainder of the year they meet on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Membership: Hills Christian Elementary School is a member school in Christian Schools International. CSI serves schools united by a common commitment to providing a Christian education, which is directed by the Word of God.
Demographics: We have 29 students in grades K - 8. These students represent 15 families. These families represent 6 different churches from 6 denominations. These students mostly come from rural towns within a 25 mile radius of Hills.
Faculty: Our teachers are mature, Christian professional, graduates of accredited colleges and universities. The teachers work with the students in grades K-8 using a demanding academic program that includes required study in math, science, social studies, english, music, Bible, art and physical education. Students receive individual attention with the low teacher to student ratio.

Admission Procedures: Admissions criteria include family support of our school philosophy, financial support of the school, an established church relationship, and a Christian commitment based on the infallible Word of God. Application for admission can be made through the school office. Hills Elementary School admits students of any race, color, or national ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate in the administration of its education policies, admission programs, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school administered programs.
Chapels: An important part of the spiritual and educational program of Hills Christian School is the chapel assemblies program. Chapel services are held every week, usually on Wednesday mornings, and special assemblies are planned throughout the year.
Lunch Program: Hills Elementary School participates in the Minnesota School lunch program. The cost of the meal is $1.45 for grades Kindergarten through 6 and $1.75 for grades 7 & 8. Some families who qualify may apply for free or reduced price lunches. The meal is the same as everyone else, but at a reduced price or free.
Transportation: Bus transportation for students attending HIlls Christian Elementary School is provided by Luverne and Hills Beaver Creek School Districts. Public and Christian School students ride the same buses.
Special Needs: The Title One program is available for those who need extra help in speech, reading or math.
Extra Curricular: Our students are involved in the following: Band, Basketball (boys and girls), Chapel, Choir, Recreational P.E., Soccer, Track (boys and girls) and Volleyball (boys and girls)
How is the school governed? Hills Elementary School is governed by a School Board. This board consists of constituents elected to 3 year terms of service. These constituents are nominated from various groups cooperating with the school. The entire society elects board members at the Annual Society Meeting.
